  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

I've been having kidney and back pain for the last couple of days. Nothing too severe yet, but I'm afraid it may indicate more stones. I have had 3 surgeries in the last two years for kidney stones, and I really don't want any more. If you guys would say a little prayer for me I would be so grateful!

Peace be with you!

Sandy
My husband gets them all the time too. The pain seems worse than childbirth. I’ll pray for you and pray for my husband too because he’s been feeling lately like he’s getting another one. He's only had one surgery but three trips to the emergency room because the pain according to him, was more than any human could handle.

Thanks, y'all. I am getting pretty good at recognizing the symptoms, and I just dread going to the doctor for this again.

Although, I did have some fun with the nurses the last time I went in for surgery. :D

They had prepped me and put me on the gurney to wheel me down to Surgery. I was still awake, which I thought was odd since the previous two times they had put me under in PreOp. Anyway, we're rolling down the long endless corridor and I'm getting the jitters, so I start talking. There is a male and a female nurse walking with me. I look up at the female nurse and say, "You know...I might not live through this. Could you guys do me a favor?" They look at me kinda funny and the male nurse says, "What do you mean? You'll be fine." I said, "Yeah, but just in case...I've had this fantasy for a long time about doing this one thing on a hospital gurney." Everybody's eyebrows go up and I'm trying to keep a straight face. "Would one of you guys jump up here with me and yell 'STAT!' while the other runs through some swinging doors? Please?"

:D :D :D :D :D

You should have seen the look on the Anesthesiologist's face when we all come into surgery laughing! LOL! The female nurse was almost crying!

I get goofy when I'm nervous. :p
If it was me, I'd get as many family members and friends as I could to get dressed up in dark business dress and "smart" glasses, and hand every one of the doctors a 65 page contract, and flip through all the pages to the back and ask them to quickly sign and date, right before I went into surgery.

On my "journey home" I am dumbfounded by the Saints and their wonderful service to Christ, so (even though I'm sure you know this) St. Benedict is the patron saint of those with Kidney Disease.
I will definitely pray for you, and I'm sure that he will be too.
