I don't know where else to turn, so maybe you guys can help. My husband is totally disabled, and in pain 24/7. He fell and got a concussion on Dec. 4th, and since then he has had some pretty serious personality shifts. His anger has been out of control; he screams at our toddlers for crying when they get hurt, he and my teenager have about come to blows. But he won't go get another CAT scan, as the neurologist requests. He is also seeing things that aren't there. (Just once - he insisted that my pet rat was out of her cage, but she wasn't.)

I can't subject the kids to his moods, but I can't leave him either; his health is too bad. Please pray for us, and offer any advice you may have. Thanks

Of course my beloved friend. I will pray for you, the hubby, the kids, and that pet rat!

Also, you may want to talk to the doctor yourself. Hubby may be in danger.
He sounds like he is in much pain. He probably does not mean to be so crude. Could be he needs to be medicated if not for him then for the rest of you.

Prayer on the way sis!

The fervant prayer of a righteous man availeth much. You brought it to the right place to bond with you in prayer. You will find many prayer warriors here to rattle the throne of God as the widow woman the unjust judge. Not that God is unjust, just that we WANT his attention to this matter.

Document the emotional/personality changes. Speak freely with his physician, and it is possible he has an issue that may require an advocate from the medical position. Meaning, you and the physician may deem him unable to make this decision rationally and make a medical treatment decision for him.

In the mean time, i believe we serve a God who gives us Love Power and a sound mind. In Jesus name keep thy word. Lord I call upon you know to touch this man and his family. Give his wife the strength to endure as you heal his mind and restore thjis mans health and family to its former self. Blessing it to 10 fold what it was. Allow your SPirit to manifest itself in their lives in new and wonderful ways. We thank you and give you all the glory and honor for it all. In Jesus name. Amen

Stormdancer, my heart hurts for what you are going through. I wish I could give you some profound words of advice that would make everything all right again. All I can do is pray for you which I will do gladly. Sometimes we just have to turn everything over to God and let Him handle things for us. But the advice offered prior to my post should be heeded. Talk to a professional as soon as you can. When children are involved we need to do everything we can to protect them and make sure they are not harmed in any way. You are among friends here and we all support you and will pray for you. Do what you have to do and then rest in the knowledge that God is with you and will give you the strength you need and your friends here will be standing with you all the way. God bless you.

Father, I pray for stormdancer and her family. You see the situation Lord and I pray that you will intervene just now. Give stormdancer wisdom and strength to do what she has to do to help her husband and her children. Heal this husband I pray and bring unity to this family. Be with these children and protect them, physically, emotionally and in every way. God, sometimes life becomes very difficult and we need to receive divine direction from You. Give that to stormdancer Father. Show her what she needs to do to help her husband. In the name of your precious Son, Jesus, I pray. Amen.

I did finally get him to go back to the ER. Unfortunately, the ER doctor took the attitude that we should go to his neurologist - who is the one who sent us to the ER!! They did another CAT scan, and said it was not "significantly different" from the one they did when he first fell. So I don't know what's going on. Just keep praying. He is getting better. His regular DR put him on an anti-depressant, and that's beginning to kick in.

I know he has many signs of a brain injury - even now, a month after the fall, he is having daily, debilitating headaches. He's had migraines before. He says this is worse, but without the nausea and light sensitivity. I know Mike. He wouldn't exaggerate the severity of anything, especially if it means going to ANY doctor. He's eating tylenol like it's candy, which is not good because he's already had liver failure once, and was able to get it stabilized.

I wonder if God would forgive me for strangling a doctor? Any doctor will do - I don't care which one. Just kidding, of course, but they are so frustrating!!

Thank you for your prayers. I love all you guys.

Sister my prayers are with you. I know God can turn any bad situation into a glorious situation. The enemy is trying to steal, kill, and destroy. Don't give him what he wants. Let your faith arise and believe in a miracle. God is more than able to do exceedingly abundantly more than anything we could ask or think. After all He is God. Remember this trials and tribilation produce character. God Bless You! I will keep you in my prayers.
