Ive been a Christian all my life, then, i got out of it, then i got back in.. and now that im older and willing to learn.. heres the question.. How do i get to know Jesus? I mean if i say something and he wont answer me back.. Ive never heard him before, and want to get to know Jesus more.. How did you guys (Experienced Believers) learn to do this?

If you look at the Sermon at the Last Supper:

"Whoever has my commandments and observes them is the one who loves me. And whoever loves me will be loved by my Father, and I will love him and reveal myself to him."

Judas, not the Iscariot, said to him, "Master, (then) what happened that you will reveal yourself to us and not to the world?"

Jesus answered and said to him, "Whoever loves me will keep my word, and my Father will love him, and we will come to him and make our dwelling with him. Whoever does not love me does not keep my words; yet the word you hear is not mine but that of the Father who sent me."[/quote]
Seem like a good way to get to know Jesus if he is dwelling inside you.

He comes to us as One unknown, without a name, as of old, beside the lakeside. He came to those men who knew Him not. He speaks to us the same words: "Follow thou me," and sets us to the tasks which He has to fulfil for our time. He commands. And to those who obey Him, whether they be wise or simple, He will reveal Himself in the toils, the conflicts, the sufferings which they shall pass through in His fellowship, and, as an ineffable mystery, they shall learn in their own experience Who He is.

I would say taking time for him. I would highly suggest getting a book called my utmost for his highest and use it in your daily devotional. Think on what he says. Read the verse and the surrounding passage. What does it mean to you? Pray to God about your life, write it down so you can see how it has changed. You get to know God by his word and through being in a relationship with other christians. They aren't perfect and will let you down, but God never will.
