Need help

Hi

I have a Sony CyberShot DSC-F717 I plug the USB in and turn it on, and it comes up with some install wizard thing... But the thing is I cant get my pictures downloaded. It says insert software... This camera didnt come with software, you simply plug it in, turn it on and it installs itself. And ive done it with my other computers, but Ive recently moved and have a different computer. Is there anywhere I can dl what i need?

Do your other computers have Windows 95/98/ME/2000 and your new computer have XP? XP has much stricter requirements on drivers (to prevent the system crashes that used to occur with bad drivers on older versions of Windows), so many drivers no longer work with it.

I can't guarantee that it is the correct one and doesn't have adware or something, as I've never used a driver from OpenDrivers - but there shouldn't be a problem.

Anyhow, Google is your friend .
