Need help on an Avatar

Good afternoon all!

I want to change my Avatar to a pic of me, because some of the people I've been posting with at another board have no clue what I look like.

But, when I attempted to submit the modifications, a message came up that it was too large (the pixels).  Is there a way I can make it "smaller", or usable for lack of a better term?

you'll need a pint program to shrink the pixels. You'll ahve to get it at www.jasc.com a program called paintshop pro. Then you can shrink the pixel size down to 120x120 or whichever is smaller. windows' paint can't do that as far as i know so you'll have to get that program first

Microsoft photo editor, just click resize, adjust by pixels, if you have microsoft office you have it.

Windows Paint does allow you to resize.
Choose the "Attributes" option of the "Image" menu.

There will be a text box for width and height.
