  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

It's been a difficult week for me. I found out quite by chance on Thursday that my longtime physical therapist who helped put my fragile constitution back together again had passed away from ovarian cancer. I had known her 21 years & without her I'd be in a nursing home. When I got home from team practice & stopped at Denny's for dinner I ended up opening up the newspaper quite by circumstance to the page. My jaw just about dropped out of my mouth. The wake was that night & it was a tremendous tribute to her. She was only 58 & she had a magical hand & style of communication that is just not seen on this earth. On top of that one of my 3 dogs is approaching the end of her long life. She was a rescue poodle who lost a leg & I'm preparing myself for the time. When you look at everything in perspective, we are all on borrowed time but it really is hard to lose good people

I am very sorry for your loss. It is difficult to lose someone to death, especially someone who had that much of an impact on your life and 58 is very young indeed. We shall pray she is with the Lord and all is well; it is those of us left behind who mourn who have it bad.
And your poor little poodle! I am a poodle fanatic and it has broken my heart every time I have lost one through the years. The little things give us so much joy and are a blessing in our lives and I thank God for them.
Blessings to you dear and I pray God's comfort on you as He has promised to comfort those of us who mourn. Amen.

She sounds like a beautiful woman :)
Heaven is our home when we know Jesus.
With Jesus, It's never "goodbye". It's only "see you later." ♥
Praying for comfort and strength at this time.
