Thank you all SO much. All of your wisdom and insight has been a tremendous help to me to see things from more than just my own small viewpoint.

One writer had this on her note:

You turned my wailing into dancing; you removed my sackcloth and clothed me with joy, that my heart may sing to you and not be silent. O Lord my God, I will give you thanks forever." - Psalm 30:10-12

This scripture was particularly beautiful to me. I have done my share of wailing and feeling like I should be clothed in sackcloth. Now I am hanging on to the promise of joy and singing to come. And I will surely give God my thanks forever. I ask God's gracious blessing on all of you who have blessed me with your help.

Phillipians 4:4-8 has always held a lot of comfort for me. I planned my dad's funeral service and this was one of the readings.

Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I will say, rejoice! Let your gentleness be known to all men. The Lord is at hand. Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things
are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—think on these things.

Always remember to reach out to others when you're upset or troubled. A pastor friend of mine said that by sharing concerns we build up the body of Christ, because we begin to pray for each other.
