Need advice about something

Hey. First off, thanks for taking the time to read my thread. Anyways, down to business. My name's Eric, and off and on for the past year, I've liked a girl named Ferrell. Her and I met in high school, and she's really helped me a lot in my relationship with Christ, and i've helped her with her's. The main problem that I'm having is that I like her right now, and she lives almost 3 hours away due to where she goes to college. Just recently, she was in town, and she and I had made plans to hang out and catch up, but she overslept, so we couldn't do it. Ever since then, I've had trouble going a day without thinking about her. I've had some past crushes, and revealing the fact that I'm crushing on the girls has almost always crushed the friendship. I don't want to risk losing my friendship with her, but I also don't want to possibly pass up the chance to have a relationship with Ferrell possibly. So, yeah, kinda conflicted as to what to do. Any advice would be more than helpful. (and her and I have plans coming up soon to hang out and do a bunch of stuff [dinner, church, coffee, etc.]) Prayer would also be helpful as well.

My advice would be to seek advice from someone older and wiser. Do you have a Godly mentor in your life? Other than that, lots and lots of prayer as well as relying fully on God and trusting that His will will be done!

Does she know that you like her?
If you really like her it might be worth continuing trying to meet up a bit/keep in contact/skype each other and let whatever may blossom come out in its own time. Skype is great for this thing, last year I'd come to like a girl at uni, then I had to go off on my Year Abroad so she was in the UK and i was in France. We ended up on Skype, erm a lot now I'm back and we can spend some time together things are looking good. Anything like that which helps seems to bring down the distance between you

I will be praying for you as well. My advice would be to stay friends for now. Keep in touch, hang out together and with other people and don't get too serious. Like you said, you don't want to scare her off by telling her straight away that you're crushing on her. Rather, be her friend and become close to her. Pray about it and perhaps in time she will come to see you as more than a friend.

Someone above suggested seeking the advise of an older Godly person. This is a wise thing to do - whether it be a parent, relative, pastor or church member. They will be able to mentor you and pray with you.
