help. i need some suggestions onsome good devotionals for a 23 year old that brings evey day events in to the bible.

CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Our daily bread is good and it's free. here's their website. www.rbc.net They send you a little booklet every month with month's worth of devotions in it. it is not extremely deep, but it's good.
I also like Oswald Chambers "My Upmost for His Highest" The language takes some getting used to but it is also good.

My Utmost for His Highest is really good.....like Gabriel said, the language is something to get used to, but Oswald tends to get pretty deep.
Another good one is the Experiencing God devotional by Blackaby...it's excellent.

There is a bible that I have got called "The Student Bible", which is in NASB and note are by Philip Yancy and some other guy. Well, it is really cool and has reading tracks at the beginning. Otherwise, you could try a on-line journal at www.268generation.com - and go to the thirsty section, that is cool!!!!

i like soul journey formerly, campus journal. it's basically our daily bread for college-aged young adults.
