Naughty CD player

I've got a Phillips 5 disc CD player thingy, and it frequently skips when you are on the last track of a disc. I've used those lens cleaner kits but it still does it.

Any ideas?

Yeah, you could call the company and yell at them. That always works. Just kidding. Seriously, though, mine did the same thing, and I called them and they sent me a new one. It's probably just a defect in the product...

Is the CD ripped or a real one? Ripped CDs often don't burn properly and have issues with that. If it's a real CD, you should take the player back to wherever you got it from and get them to have a look at it. Is it still under warranty?

I'm pretty sure it's been over a year. And it skips on real CDs, fresh out of the wrapper. What a booger. It seems odd that it usually does the skipping on the final track.
