LOL! Yup US is very Christian . . . . . .:D

I read the book Let's Roll. In Let's Roll the American spirit comes forth, Christian attitudes and all.

The same Christian attitudes from christian folk, who are Christ-like in practice, that work alongside secularists, serve and debate Muslims. In America and abroad, in relation to Christian customs, Muslim infants are delivered by Christian physicans. Christian specialists ensure the safety of Muslim communities. In the face of local adversaries, Christians sometimes take the isolated backseat when it comes to religious expression. And in political spheres, Christians vote for Muslims who qualify to serve their best interests. Ready for firsthand experiences and downtime, entertainment such as streaming It's A Beautiful Day by U2, or drawing sarcastic figures in a Somali med camp, is a take five for some, whereby lifelong friendships are formed.

Such Christains and Muslims pray against burn victims of war, against war and against persecution.

Obama laborers sorely compare to those they maim and slay in Pakistan.

The CIA drone attack and death of the Pakistani youth in the linked article occured last month near Mirali.

Sixteen-year-old Muhammad Tariq of North Waziristan had joined hundreds of tribesmen in the rally against drone strikes in the Pakistani capital on Friday. The protesters had called for an immediate end to the strikes, saying they killed many civilians, reported Rediff.com.

I'm from Pakistan and you guys don't have any idea that how much dislike is there for the US policies in the region. Frankly, US/NATO has just messed everything up. I hope that Pakistan blocks NATO supply route permanently and come out of this so-called 'alliance'. Enough is enough !!!!! If India had done such act, Pakistan would've bombed the sh!t out of Indian military deployed near the Indo-Pak border. Such events lead to an all-out war. Killing 28 soldiers (including a major and a captain) of any country is an act of war !!!!!!!

I agree that the intervention of the Coalition in the region has changed the balance of power. Pakistan banked on a friendly Afghanistan as a balance against India. So they were actually allies with the Taliban as indeed many on the NW frontier remain. The real issue is the balance of power with India which despite Pakistans nuclear capability still remains firmly with India.

The Western interest here was the removal of the Taliban regime and the chance of its restoration and thereby the removal of a safehaven for terrorists. As the presence of Osama Bin Laden for some years right next to Pakistani military facilities indicates Pakistan is probably a supporter of international terrorism.

This latest incident needs to be taken by itself and if proper procedures have not been followed and there was indeed no clear and present danger posed by these outposts then people will need to be held accountable. But there is a larger problem on this border in that Pakistani soldiers seem to be directly supportive of Taliban terrorists and despite the words of the regime in Islamabad. Cross border interventions need to be understood in that light.

As an earlier poster said the CIA is not above the law but they will be judged by American law not pro Taliban sympathisers

Bin Laden's compound in Pakistan proves exactly what?

He set up camp within a fifteen minute walk of Pakistan's military academy...and somehow I'm supposed to believe that they are our friends.

I can't think of any hated criminals off the top of my head, but it's like one of them setting up shop down the street from West Point. Chances are that the government was in on it.

Well balance of power WAS/IS/WILL REMAIN with India because India is atleast 7 times larger than Pakistan.

This is true and the superior economic performance of India should also mean that the qualitative gap is only going to widen over time.

The "achievement" of Pakistan is that it stood infront of India and fought 4 wars with it but NEVER backed down or accepted Indian hegemony. The only problem Pakistan have is that Indians/Afghans do terrorism inside Pakistan through Afghanistan and Americans covers them. If US/NATO was not in Afghanistan...Powerful Pakistani ISI would've buried Indians alive in Afghanistan.

The Pakistani state is one of the nastiest and most belligerant in modern history. Half of the Muslims in India chose to remain outside of its rule and indeed the revolution in Bangladesh after pakistani military atrocities there illustrate that even other Muslim countries/peoples have reasons to suspect the regime. It has almost bankrupt the nation in pursuit of nuclear weopanry and in the support of a military that would be entirely useless in any modern ground war with the USA or with India for instance. Its people are impoverished, illiterate and living in the dark ages when it comes to issues like human rights, basic infrastructure for instance.

Well, no one became successful in Afghanistan...what makes you think that "West/US" would be successful? US/WEST has already lost the war....BIG TIME. I started a thread on this issue.
So the Taliban are still rulers in Kabul, Osama bin laden is still alive and operating out of his Afghan bases? Your fantasies sound like nightmares to me. Within a few years we will handover to the Afghan military and in the main leave the country in a better state than it was.

You can check it out. Regarding terrorism, Well CIA/America is the biggest supporter of international terrorism...OR you Americans only consider something as "terrorism" if its done against you and not by you? Read your history.
Can you give me an example in the last 20 years of CIA inspired international terrorism?

Oh pul-eeeeseee ...Take your Western media crap somewhere else. I beg you ! Pakistani troops supportive of Talibans? Where you got THAT from? Oh wait, probably your media you keeps you brainwashed, right? If you don't know..the soldiers killed in the last attack were from AJK regiment. AJK regiment of Pakistan Army is deployed in Kashmir with Indian border. These soliders were in tribal areas ONLY to FIGHT TALIBANS ! The check post built on the top on the mountain...you know why? To conduct operations against Talibans and deprive them of strategic advantage. Pakistani military have captured/killed more AL-Qaeda/Taliban leaders than Robotic US Army (which seldom comes out of their 'safe bases' )
Yeah right whatever . . . . . . . .
See the following link which includes an interview with a Taliban commander who claims to have been trained by Pakistani military intelligence.

The Azad Jammu Kashmir Regiment has been active against the taliban - true. Which makes this attack puzzling to me too. However we do not know the intelligence on which this attack was based. I accept it may have been faulty intelligence or misunderstanding in the execution of the target. Unlike you I have more trust in the security review that is taking place about this incident to come to an honest conclusion as to what actually happened.

Pakistan has cooperated with drone attacks on Al Queda operatives so it is puzzling why their military should have been targeted in this way
