Really? I thought the first one was VERY divergent. Perhaps plot was it was less divergent than a lot of book-to-movie adaptations... but the feel was just totally wrong.I was extremely pleased with the LWW movie. It was incredibly accurate per the book and was a great movie over all. Based on that I had some VERY high hopes for the PC movie. But after seeing it I was pretty displeased and let down. Although LWW followed the book almost to a T, PC diverged incredibly.
I think you should see it a second time. As I posted earlier, I was so-so on it first time through, but second time through I liked it quite a bit. Now, as a movie in and of itself it was decent. As a representative of the book, compared to how LWW fared, it was a let-down. I give it one thumb up and one thumb down. I don't plan to see it again.

Me either! I thought it was the Greek water myth dude. Actually that whole part kinda reminded me of the Egyptians being swallowed up by the Red Sea. I just saw Narnia this weekend, and I REALLY enjoyed it very much!Oh, I hadn't thought that about the water.
seriously? that's just stupid & yes, ironic. What's especially funny is that, despite the wholehearted excitement for the movie as betrayed in this thread, my original avatar (which was the Satyr as depicted in this movie series), got me nothing but condemnation as a Demon, or even the Devil himself.
How's that for irony?
