  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

GET THIS: John Heder (Napoleon Dynamite) is 27 and MARRIED!!! Am I the only one who finds that slightly weird?

Really? Somebody told me died shortly after the movie. I think maybe they were just trying to pull my leg though -_-

I saw it twice, and I think it's funny. It's probably not a movie I'd own, but it's good for parties and whatnot. ^^

My favorite part was when Napolean danced after Pedro's speech.

Hey, I heard Hillary Duff's little sister played the blond prep. Does anyone know if that's true? *shudders*

I dont get this movies popularity?

I'm sure it was mentioned in another post, but I'm too lazy to look, so I'll explain it. It's because the movie is not only funny but also clean, which is very unique in this day and age, when movies typically star bad comedians such as Cedric the Entertainer and focus on easy comedy (i.e. vulgarity). Yes, it was stupid. But it was a good kind of stupid! :)

It wasn't stupid. I was brilliant! :)

Perhaps some of us can relate to Napoleon in some way, shape or form. Or perhaps it was just clean, funny movie. I don't know, but I'm 28 and think Napoleon rocks!

 Ok, well I'm making this thread so we can talk about anything and everything on Napoleon Dynamite. I love this movie. It is my second favorite. ;)
Some, people think it was lame and slow - but that's what makes it so great! I have seen it about 16 times I believe... But enough about me. How bout u guys? Why do you like it? How many times have u seen it?

The movie is flippin' hilarious... for some reason, I want to watch it over, and over, and over, and over...

the slap boxing between napoleon and his brother is a classic... i mean, what brother and sister out there in america hasn't at least done that once in their life with their other siblings? bwahahaha...

simply funny and hilarious... btw - napoleon can jam and cut up the floor, that was so nice of him to do that for his buddy.

I for one absolutely LOVED LOVED LOVED Napoleon Dynamite. The comedy and humor is not stupid, it is very intelligent. It is one of those movies that yes you see it the first time and you probably won't get it. But think about it and see it again, and you realize it's genius. There is so much quoteable dialogue, which is why I'm sure so many like it. Plus how can you not like his dancing routine at the end? :D
