Abigail Rose ( The Fathers Joy - Rose is a family name)
Sh'Kyna Irene ( Shekinah - the Glory of od, Messenger of Peace)
Elisheva Joaquine (Dedicated to and Established in Him)
Michel - (Michel Who is like God? Michel was born into heaven at 13 weeks gestation, we named him after an Angel)
Davi-Ann Renee' ( Cherished-Grace, Child of the ressurection)
Thaddeus Jedidiah Francis ( Wisdom, King Solomons childhood name, Freeman - named for my beloved grandfather who never got to see Thad)

the Benaiah is pretty set now. benaiah was the leader of King Davids Mighty men. the Jareth is changable... so suggestions welcome!

Anyway--names are a huge thing for me too

Aryeh Joy --means Joyful lion *well, to make it make sense I swapped the names*

Noah Jancy --means Peace and Rest, Jancy is my husband's middle name and was made up by his mom

Aaron King-- means Light bringing King (King was my grandfather's middle name-- Aaron was born on his birthday)

If this baby Im pregnant with now is a girl her name will be

Victoria Grace -- Victorious Unmerited Favor
or
Gabriel Josiah-- Devoted to God, Fire of God

Well we have def. decided on a name...Lilly Rose...I really like the name Lilly and lilies are beautiful flowers even though I am adding an extra L to my daughter's name...Rose after my mom and grandmother...also, truth be told it was the name I gave my first cabbage patch doll when I was five..lol...but I love the name and my husband loves the name...so we have agreed!..picking names is a long and difficult dec...at least it was for us.

That's a very pretty name.

I was leaning towards Lillian Violet (Lily for short) but I have changed my mind because it doesn't go with our surname.

I don't know yet if I am having a boy or a girl.


Boys: Caleb, Isaac, Noah

Girls: Anneliese, Abigail, and Catherine.

These will probably change though, because the only one that has met husbands approval is Caleb.

well we always choose a name, and couple it with a Maori name as a middle name. It's a very important part of our culture. So we have David Tipene (Stephen), Matthew Wiremu (William), Jamie Timoti (Timothy) and Aroha (Love) Jade.

This wee one will either be Samuel Hone (John) or Elizabeth Ngaire (silver fern)

of course none of this is set in stone, as we're only 8? weeks into the journey now.

We had originally picked out the name Shayndel, which is a Hebrew name that means beautiful. My husband thought it was a little too strange, so we had modified it to Shaylie.

But, somewhere along the line in this pregnancy, I came across the name Natalie in a book I was reading and became attached to the name for this particular baby. My husband likes it a lot better than our original ideas, so Natalie it is!

Oh, and Natalie means "born on Christmas." Hopefully that won't have a whole lot of significance since she's not due until March! But, since Easter is a little early this year, she could be "born on Easter!"

I just read this, and my neice's name is Natalie and her birthday is March 16. She will be a year old this year.

And for fun, what name would you NEVER give your child?

I would never name a child a weird name such as Zeniffer, Jake 2.0 (apparantly two parents named their son that ), or Raygon. Yes, someone was considering Raygon, fortunately for the child she was persuaded that Raygon was a stupid spelling of Reagan! Contrary to what some parents might think names are important and do affect your children in finding friends, finding jobs, etc.

With very few exceptions I would not give a child an incorrect spelling such as Kimberlee, Roeberta, Gael, Katea, Kaenyn---you get the point. Two reasons: the child will constantly be telling people how to spell it, and people will think I and very distant future DH are uneducated! I do like the spelling 'Xtian' as oppossed to 'Christian' though.

If I ever had children of my own then I would be strongly influenced by family names.

My favourite boy name: Elton Patrick-nn would be John
My favourite girl name: I like Amelia Diane

I really love names too. Sometimes I think too much about what I would like to name our future children. I don't like to obsess about baby stuff, but sometimes it is hard not to. I guess when you have been pregnant, and this little baby is a reality in your life even thought they are only the size of your pinky, and you start dreaming about him or her and what you will name them, what they will be like, etc., and then you lose them, it's hard to push those thoughts out of my head sometimes. Anyway...

For a girl we have talked a great deal about Elaine because it is my maternal grandma's name, and next to my parents she has had the greatest influence on my life. I just love her so much and would love to be able to name my child after her. I think a lot of people think it sounds like an old person name, but fortunately dh likes the name too. Elaine means light. For a nickname, maybe Lainie or Ellie. I have been thinking Elaine Claire sounds good together. Claire means Bright, so the meaning of the kids name would be light bright. When I realized that I was dying laughing.....I just thought it was funny. Did you guys play with light brights when you were kids? I loved them.

I also really like the names Adele (noble), Myra (wonderful) and Anya (gracious). I thought Adele could work with Elaine as a middle name, but I don't know if it's too many vowels. Our last name starts with an O.

For boys we both love the name Jackson, but it has really been on the rise lately, so we will probably stay away from that. Samuel was also on the top of our list, but one of our friends just named their baby Samuel. I love the name Arden, which means to blaze, but I don't think dh is as crazy about it as I. DH's middle name is Reed and I think that is a really cool name. We will probably use it as a middle name if we have a boy, but maybe even consider using it as a first name. A lot of people think I am weird, but I like the name Henry a lot as well. DH says no because then his initials will be HO. DH's initials are B.O. and he hated that as a kid, so he is very sensitive about having initials that cannot be ridiculed. Whatever.

We have picked Jacqueline Simone if it's a girl and Levi Thomas for a boy. Neither are greatly significant we just liked them.

Our kids are:

Stephen Michael (my maiden name is a derivation of Michael - my husband became a CHristian at St. Stephen's church.)

Hannah Lynn (My husband's initials are HL and we had decided that this baby would be initialed after the parent of the opposit sex - a boy would have been AE - I was AE after my father who was AE)

Thomas Durant (Durant was my mother's maiden name, and just a fine and dandy name in my husband's opinion)

I like that they all have Bible names and also names that tie them to the family.

While trying to come up with names for baby #3, my husband somehow hit on the name "Bucky Lazarus". THe older kids loved it! They were ready to call the baby Bucky Lazarus - boy or girl! As it turns out, Thomas could easily have worn the name of Buckminster Lazarus quite well... but I'm still glad we didn't go there and he has thanked us for passing on it. The name became the family code word when the kids were little.

I'm not pregnant(is that ok for this forum?) but I can't wait to be and I love thinking about names. For some reason I can't get the name Aderyn out of my head. It means "bird". I know that doesn't have too much depth to it but the name won't leave me alone : ) Any suggestions for a middle name? I love Biblical names. For a boy I love the name Isaiah "the Lord saves".

When we didn't know what we were having, we had these names:

Boy- Jackson
Girl- Lexington or Felicity



Now we know it is a girl. During the ultrasound when we found out we saw her...and named her Felicity. It just seemed right for her.

Then it was time to pick a middle name...

This ended up being harder than picking a first name!!!

We decided on Marie, because it's my middle name and my mom's...but then again it's the middle name of 3/4 of the females in the Western World, too...

The other night my husband and I were looking online at cars. We need a new car because of the baby... One of the cars was "Elise". That is the name of the mom on "Family Ties", and I remembered I always liked that name.

So that is it: Felicity Elise Tucker

Funny thing: Whenever people ask what we are naming her, I tell them Felicity and then I get that, "ooohhh, well, umm, that's a neat name..." I know people don't like it. Oh well, poop on them. I like it.
