If you believe in me then I'll believe in you. A key to the kingdom. Jesus says, ask anything in my name and you shall receive it, however, one must believe in order to receive, to truly believe.
But one must consider, what is lawful to ask for? Those things that are righteous and pure and content of heart, these are the things that are lawful to ask for.
It's one thing to believe that I will receive and another thing to just say that I believe. Oftimes, when we ask for something of Jesus we repeat over and over, I believe I will receive, I believe I will receive; until we are convinced that we will.
...and it never comes...
But this is not true; for if we truly believed then the reciting of I believe, I believe would not be necessary unto seventy times seven times.
If one truly believed then it wouldn't even be necessary to say that I believe, even once--that the simple confirmation (within ourselves) that the very question becomes the belief.
For example; I want to overcome a fear. What I would do is ask the question, I want to overcome the fear in the name of Jesus Christ, then that should be sufficient enough for belief; instead of saying, I believe, I believe; for it is the thought which is the belief that you shall receive.
Faith is simple; and Jesus even says, be not one of those (when praying to the Father) who says repetition after repetition. For example; I believe, I believe unto seventy times seven times.
