  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Wow, you're good at this!

clueless?

Sorry, Ruth, didn't mean to overlook yours. I didn't realize that was song lyrics you posted. No. Kinda reminds me of Sweet home Alabama, but I dont think that one says "my home sweet home" or does it?
No it's not Sweet Home Alabama. It's a very very old song and means a whole lot.

Ok, another hint. The song is from 1963. The show featured 2 teenagers, a boy and and girl. The producers of the show demanded that both kids sing that year. The girl's song hit #1, and it was Johnny Angel. The boy's song was this one.

Yes, that's the one I was thinking of. I barely remember that show. I remember that the father was a doctor on it. Don't know the boy's song though.

The song was sung by Jeff (Stone), aka Paul Peterson, and was called My Dad.

The OP requested that no vid links be posted here; so will honor that. But--if you go to youtube.com, and search, you will find it. Funny though--this one is there; but the #1 hit by Shelley Fabares (Mary Stone on the show) is not--due to copyright. Hmm--why one and not the other? It was there at one time, and yes, I have it! PM me with your e-mail if you would like to see the clip from the show that introduced the #1 hit, Johnny Angel. Btw--Shelley did not want to sing on the show--she told them that she had a terrible voice. It took some 80 takes to get it right, but when she did, WOW!!

Ok, new one! This one should be fairly easy!

I knew the lyrics, but not title or who did it. I finally googled it. So I will abstain from posting the answer!;)
