  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

:wave: Hello to my 40 something brothers and sisters.

One thing on my desk is a 4"x5"x2" white ceramic dish with lid. The lid has black lettering that says SACCA family reunion 1995. Inside are a few pins (some from Cooperstown) and a ring from a merry-go-round I grabbed while on an outing with a bunch of youths from an Upstate New York church.

Glad to be here ... glad to be fourty-something

i have a greeting card from my mother on here that has the cutest picture of a teddy bear with a pink flower and it says...
cuddly-wuddly bear wants you to cheer up...
(on the inside it says) kinda makes ya wanna squeeze cuddly-wuddly bears little neck til his itsy witsy button eyes pop off don't it?
