MYTH: Abortion is a risk free procedure that will not harm you physically.

FACT: Up to 10% of women suffer an infection after abortion. Antibiotics are usually prescribed to prevent infection. Untreated infection can affect your future fertility. Your risk of infection is much higher if you have a sexually transmitted infection at the time of the abortion. (Thorpe. N. (2008) Post pregnancy genital tract and wound infections. MYTH: Abortion does not cause any lasting psychological harm.

FACT: Whilst most women express feelings of relief immediately following an abortion, these feelings are usually transient. International evidence now confirms that at least 20% of women suffer serious prolonged psychological trauma after abortion. Abortion is correlated to substantially increased risk of anxiety, depression, alcohol and drug use, and suicidal behaviours. (Coleman P.K. MYTH: Abortion is safer than childbirth.

FACT: Whilst some abortion clinics advertise this as a fact, it is not true. Studies that look at the relative safety of abortion versus childbirth rely on incomplete data as most of the western world does not collect data on the numbers of abortions, or abortion related complications or deaths. When They do occur many deaths are attributed to the immediate presenting concern such as infection, or hemorrhage and not abortion. Including the increased risk of suicide and other self destructive behaviours following abortion. (Coleman P.K. MYTH: it is just a blob of cells without any form.

FACT: Many abortion sites talk about a 'blob of cells' or 'products of conception' or 'the pregnancy' in ways that are designed to disconnect you from the unborn baby. This is often done in order to help make your decision easier and less emotional, however, it doesn't help you to be fully informed which is your right.

If you want to simply discuss abortion myths and fact, then it could probably fit in one of the forums that already exists.

I do agree that it is a topic that needs to be discussed openly and honestly.
