As a skeptic I love Mythbusters. There's been a lot of talk in skeptic groups about trying to bring skepticism back in to vogue again, and Mythbustes is a great example of how to do it.

Skepticism doesn't mean willy nilly rejection of everything, it means putting "conventional wisdom" and things like Urban Legends to the test. That's exactly what Adam and Jamie do and it's precisely what makes the show so wonderful. Skepticism isn't a position, it's a process. Mythbusters shows how that process is followed.

For those of you interested in skepticism, but have been scared off by the cynacism of a lot of the public faces, feel free to PM me. The problem isn't the answer... it's not ever asking the question at all.

I agree that it's a very clever show based on the processes that the guys go through to either prove or disprove the legends. I have an interest in stuff like what's on snopes.com, and even though we're a bit behind your new episodes here in Australia (the episode where they tested the exploding gobstopper was on TV tonight), it's a show that I'm finding very good! :)

The only thing I do not like about the show is the MythBusters message boards on the Discovery Channel web site. It seems that most of the threads started are by guys who wish to do nothing more than idolize Kari Byron!

Other than that, the show is wonderful!

Buster is a dead man walking  ...or the lack there of considering they have to wheel him around the set.
who is Your fave person on mythbusters??? I like everyone except Jamie and Tori. Jamie is a jerk. Anyone who watched the behind the scenes episode could tell You that. and Tori is just an Idiot. He reminds me of My cousin.

I see absolutely NOTHING wrong with idolizing Kari Byron. ;);)

Just kidding.
