It has a cracked crystal, a rusted and corroded case, moisture seepage, bent stem, multiple scratches and pits, broken second hand, and a torn strap.

My question is this:

If Joe said he bought that watch brand new ten years ago, would you accuse him of being deceptive with you?

All physical evidence says the earth is old, a book written 2-3000 years ago says if one totals the given lifespans of its characters that the earth is 6000years or thereabouts. What's more credible?

God if he exists does not say the earth is 6000 years old, just the interpretation by people of a book written,as far as anybody can tell, by people.

From the information you've provided there is no reason to accuse Joe of being deceptive. How does damage sustained over a period of time indicate deception? You have, no doubt, withheld some nugget of information which is germane to the thread and which you will claim demonstrates that the watch is only 10 years old but appears to be 100 years old. So it's probably you who is deceptive with your OP

What's that got to do with Joe's watch? According to your OP, Joe has had his watch for 10 years. Are you saying the damage it has taken over that period of time precludes the possibility of it having been pristine when he bought it? If so, that is information you should have provided in the OP, which makes you as deceptive as the manufacturer of the watch

This is just one of many interpretations of the Bible. Actually it is just one of many interpretations for YEC. Clearly the Bible is written history and that history begins with Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden 6,000 years ago.
