I'm thinking of retiring in North Carolina where it's not too hot, not too cold, has some mountains and the sea. A little bit of everything.

Personally, I'm narrowed down to Traverse City, Michigan or Asheville, North Carolina. Of course, I'd have to talk my church into moving with me - otherwise I stay where I am.

OK - now I don't mean this to be a morbid question, but . . . . assuming that all family members are safe, what one thing would you take with you if you had to evacuate your house in an emergency (i.e. housefire)?
(Since most people say photographs, assume they're ok and choose something else!)

Very Smart!Well, I clean all year round so I never have any major cleaning time. This spring I will start attending to my plants in front of the house before too many bees arrive!
