What is your favorite Bible story? why??

My favorite comes at the end of the Sermon on the Mount. About the wise and foolish builders. You know the story...the foolish builder built his house on a perilous place while the wise builder built on the rock. I take this a couple different ways and here's why. We should build our life on the Rock and we will weather any storm. On the other hand, the way I really see this parable is...no matter who we are...storms come into our lives, be we Christian or not. To me that is awesome because we can say Hey, why is this happening to me, why doesn't God shelter me. God uses us, through all the situations of our lives, to HIS good...not necessarily to our good.

Wow, I really had to think about this one. When I turned 30, my husband (now ex) got me an engagement ring and new wedding band. When we were first married/engaged he couldn't afford a lot and felt it wasn't adequate (even though I cherished what I had).

I guess I've never really had a big to do about my birthday ever...so I was really searching for a "favorite".
