CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

John is a great friend and a lot of fun to be around. When we first started "talking" we talked about meeting at the Grand Canyon. My dream was to spend the night on the edge of the Canyon looking at the stars. If I could ever do this, I'd like to do it with him.

Gone with the Wind hands down. It's so romantic and yet so tragic. All throughout the film Scarlett chases after a dream she'll never catch and misses out on true love. Hmmmm...sounds familiar to me

No I don't. I believe God could have created life elsewhere. I think the only other life existing elsewhere is Heaven and I can't wait to see it.

I don't think a glass of wine on occasion is a problem. I guess its how you define moderation. For one person it may be a bottle of wine a day, for others (like me) it could be a slippery slope where you could get sucked back down in the mire you were delivered from.

In the huge city of Millsboro Delaware. Have you heard of it? We used to be the home of the famous Punkin' Chunkin' but they are moving the location this year. My town is on the mouth of the Indian River which dumps into the Atlantic Ocean between Dewey Beach and Bethany Beach. We are what is considered Slower Lower Delaware. It's a pretty cool little town. Delaware has a whopping 3 counties.

You know, it's been a few years since we had a big snow. When we get much of any snow, like 3 inches or less, the state pretty much shuts down.
Summer is my favorite season. I'm a beach bum. I love it, love to feel the sand under my feet, hear and smell the waves crashing. One of my joys when I'm there is watching the Bottlenose Dolphins. I'm about 12 miles from the beach. Now is the best time of year to enjoy it too, less tourons.

I think one of my biggest achievements is raising my daughters by myself for the past 12 years. It's been a struggle at times but they are one of the joys in my life.
Probably my biggest failure has been my divorce with their father. It takes two to make a marriage and sometimes two to break it up. I think at times there must have been something I could have done to keep it together.

Tough question:
Let's say you had a son that was evil, always wanting to hurt people - and he had a friend that was an atheist, but was nice and polite to people. One day, the boys were playing close to a cliff and your son pushed his friend toward the edge of the cliff, making him loose his footing and slipping over the side of the cliff. A small ledge manages to stop him from falling to the jagged rocks below, but his feet are starting to slip. Your son decides to reach over to push him away from the side of the cliff, but instead the other boy is able to pull him over the edge. Your son somehow grabs onto a rock sticking out of the side of the cliff to keep himself from falling.
Your son calls out for help, and you hear his plea. Rushing to the cliff, you see both boys perilously close to falling. You love your son, but you know he is evil and has only hurt people in his life. However, the other boy is begging for you to help him as well, and you know he just wants to live peacefully. Time is running out, and you can only save one boy.
