I agree, that is why I cling to accepting scripture just as it is written when it makes perfectly good sense just the way it reads. IMO, that is why I can prove my doctrines with Scripture when those who do not take it literally cannot. And like you say, there are a plethora of different interpretations so which one should anyone believe?

Why should it matter which Bible? If there is doubt one goes to the original Hebrew for Old Testament, or Greek for the New with occasional bits in Aramaic.What "Bible" are you using that makes that assertion, can you quote the verse(s)?
