Hi I am new to the forums here, but am not a new follower of Christ. I love the Savior and am grateful for His grace and mercy that I receive daily. One of my favorite scriptures from the New Testament is in Matthew 19:26: "But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible." It is very comforting to know that I have a loving God that is on my side. I know that God wants us to succeed and be happy and that He will help us in our daily endeavors. I have seen miracles in my life from prayer. I have seen myself and others healed of ailments that were not possible without divine help. I am grateful for a God who is involved in the details of our lives as we open ourself up to him. As we open ourselves up to Jesus, all things are possible through faith in His name. In the name of Jesus Christ, amen.

CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
