Again, I'm just really thankful that all is well -- and I hope SIL's tailbone heals quickly.

Is this going to make you a first-time uncle? I'm an aunt, and it's one of the very best things in my life!

Second time. My niece was in the car with my SIL for the accident, but didn't have a scratch. She's only a year and a few months old. They had just bought a new, safer childseat than the one they had before, and are very greatful for that. Now, of course, they need another one.

I'm very thankful that your niece came through just fine. This goes to show how very important it is for every parent to use a safe, properly-installed carseat!

I don't have any nieces, but I have a nephew, and he rocks.
