You're going through this test right now. It's the hardest test emotionally, psychologically and physically. The devil has been given free rein over you temporarily to test your faith and love for God. It's a test to see how much you love God under dire circumstances.
Revelation 2:9-10 New King James Version (NKJV)
9 “I know your works, tribulation, and poverty (but you are rich); and I know the blasphemy of those who say they are Jews and are not, but are a synagogue of Satan. 10 Do not fear any of those things which you are about to suffer. Indeed, the devil is about to throw some of you into prison, that you may be tested, and you will have tribulation ten days. Be faithful until death, and I will give you the crown of life.
You're not alone in this test. I went through it myself twice till I finally passed. The last time I told this test it lasted 13 years of my life living in pure hell. But once it was over, my life completely changed, and so did my heart and my thinking of life and people. Since that time, there's been nothing short of peace and joy regularly. Just letting you know the test isn't always a short experience and there's a rainbow waiting for you at the end of the storm.
This test is also revealed in the book of Job. It'll give you a lot of guidance and encouragement.

Many people in the bible also took this test early on before they became great men and women of God. The Apostle Paul was blinded and imprisoned. Joseph the son of Jacob was also imprisoned. Abraham had to sacrifice Isaac. Even Jesus was tested early on. Jesus always lead by example and lived His life as a testimony for us to follow in His footstep.
He immediately took this test soon after getting baptised by John. In the wilderness, Jesus fasted for 40 days and nights to get himself as close to death as possible and than let the devil test Him, to try to get Him to deny God. Jesus rebuked satan's temptations loving God no matter what, even when near death He held onto God. Matthew 3:16-4:1
I thought I share Matthew 4:1-11 with you because many Christians actually thinks it's a scripture on fasting but it's really not. It's what the devil wants many to believe and not realize it's what Jesus did to pass this test. And we're not required to fast under the new testament. Luke 5:33-34, Matthew 9:14-15, Mark 2:18-19.
Yes, Matthew 4:1-11 shows us what Jesus did to pass this test. Just love God no matter what the devil throws at you. Resist and deny him under all circumstances and you will win and the test will end.
Many Christians also goes through this test but unfortunately they don't know it. Believe it or not, we're the lucky ones. Others will have to take this test in the tribulation during the final 7 years before Jesus returns to earth. For the other readers constantly going through tough times in life right now wondering why troubles never end, it's because you're taking this test too. Just love God and resist the devil and the pain will one day end.
