Interesting how a "deceptor" can leave documentation as to what he did, and educates would consider it "deception."
Kind of like The Riddler...

He's smart enough that he could commit the perfect crime with no chance of being caught, but his pathological need to boast compels him to leave clues. After all, what's the point of being the smartest man in the room if nobody else knows it?

Just because you confess to the forgery doesn't make it any less a forgery.
Ted Bundy should have put in writing what he did, where he did it, when he did it, what order he did it in, why he did it, how long it took him to do it, why it took him that long, and who the eyewitnesses were ... he'd be alive and well today.
Indeed -- the death penalty is often taken off the table in exchange for the criminal providing the information you've just mentioned...
PROTIP: such information is commonly referred to as a "confession."
