This is what came to me when reading what you wrote.

I think there is a recently converted Politician to Islam?
Who is running for President of the US?
Could mean that possibly our constitution will change somehow to effect Sharia law if this man is elected?

The little girl, I see this as the way of understanding this, in that we must become like little children in our innocence and understanding ( the simplest is the best understanding) to enter heaven.

You also said there were four doors, I believe that elections for 2008 are four months from now.

Thats all I have, what did you get?

Although i will add that Obama would be better off takeing his money and spending more wisely elsewhere.

I'm not sure whether or not this is from God, but I think it important to determine whether or not it is fairly quickly. As I see it, one of the primary purposes of prophecy is to allow people the opportunity to steer events away from the prophesized event (when said event is negative, that is). We must first determine if it is true or untrue, and then determine what it actually means, at least as best as we can. Once those things are out of the way, if we are still left with a valid prophecy, we should act on it as best we can, but ONLY if the prophecy proves valid. This may well be nothing more than a dream.

Muslims deny that he is the son of God and is God.

I got a similar message the other night but not for the same reason. Just because Muslims deny Jesus is the Son doesn't mean God wouldn't give a warning about them.
The Daniel/Muslim message carries little weight and here's why:
First of all it's so generic it could have come from anywhere.
Second of all "death" would occur in some way, shape or form anytime anyone is elected.
Thirdly, it does not specify any particular country. Many assume it means the U.S. but how do we know it is?
Fourth, we know oppression occurs under most if not all Muslim regimes so the message is generic, even a stereotype.

Take that dream and compare it to the word of God.

Here is how i know that this dream means nothing

Jesus said that the Anti-christ and anti-christ will come in the name of Jesus and decieve many even the very elect.

Who can a muslim or ex muslim decieve! certainly not a very elect.

I compare the dream to the word of God, the dream means nothing, it has no bearing on the word of God.

Oh dear, I have been composing my interp for thirty minutes and now *poof* it's gone....

I think it's important, though, so I'm going to redo it..... Lord, help me here.....

First of all, as a nondenom, I apologize for the response you received here. I too was surprised at what this congregational forum has evolved into. I feel really at-home neither in the Charismatic forum nor in non-denom.

I've read the other responses to your dream, both here and in the D&V forum, but I'm trying to see this with fresh eyes.....

I believe the hallway represents your Christian journey, and the four doors represent directions that you have considered going, but they were not for you. Finally you decide to turn to your right - the direction of your strength (usually the right hand is the stronger one, and that symbol is pretty consistent Biblically) - which turns out to be a Heavenly perspective. Once you have gained a Heavenly perspective, you are able to see what direction to take; it is straight in front of you.

I believe the little girl represents in a way the Holy Spirit, because she guides your eyes. She points to a chalkboard and asks, "Is Daniel up there?" In other words, "Are you represented up there?" and you see three references that might indicate directions you could go in terms of your Kingdom work, but they are not for you - possibly worship (Psalms), leadership/fathering (?? - Jacob), and evangelism (?? - Matthew?). Of course when the Holy Spirit asks a question, it is for you - this was for you to realize that none of those were to be your calling.

Then the little girl shows you the "handwriting on the wall" - because of the story in the book of Daniel, this phrase has come to refer to a predetermined judgment or outcome. You will know when this comes to pass - and it seems clear to me that it will be during your lifetime - that the judgement is from the hand of God and not from the hand of the enemy. It is NOT clear to me that the election in question is in the USA; I would watch other elections too, particularly leadership in Jerusalem and the surrounding areas....

Going deeper, the fact that you could read the handwriting on the wall would seem to point you in the direction of being a prophet/seer in the spirit of Daniel. If I were you, I would read the book of Daniel and see what the Lord shows you personally as you read it. Daniel was a prophet to captive Judah and an intercessor..... he was given the ability by God to see the over-arching plan of God both for his own captive nation and for the world. Pretty major. I think his prayer life is critical to the role he was able to play. So, brother, please pray. The Body of Christ is in need of interceding prophets.

This could be nothing, but it could also be demonic. It could be Satan in the "clothing of a sheep," so please be careful. Satan loves to trick people.

Huh? I don't understand how people reach this conclusion. It is not mentioned in scripture and certainly not in history. Revelations talks about not adding to or taking from the Word of God but that has nothing to do with God giving visions - it has to do with the scriptures. Prophetic visions and dreams are not scriptures.

As far as 1 Cor 13 why don't people include the next 2 verses as well? They make it clear he is talking about when Jesus (that which is perfect) is come, not anything else. It is when (vs 12) we see "face to face" and are able to know even as we are known. This speaks of Christs return and/or when we are taken by the Lord and see Jesus face to face. It certainly has nothing to do with any historical time. Prophecy and spiritual gifts cease after death or when we meet the Lord because they are no longer necessary.

"Charity never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away.

9For we know in part, and we prophesy in part.

10But when that which is perfect is come, then that which is in part shall be done away.

11When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things.

12For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known."

To think what he is talking about is the completion of the Bible is a delusion. Having a Bible doesn't make that which is perfect come, nor does it make us see face to face or to know as we are known. Which means we shall know as God knows us and I don't think we are there yet!
