My New Theory

I have a new theory for find someone. Let God bring them do you!

I have been reading the book "God is a Matchmaker" by Derek Prince. He talks about how God made Adam, and knew that he needed someone. Then God made Eve, and God brought Eve to Adam. Adam did not go out to find Eve.

He then gives accounts from his own life, of how God showed him who his wive were (Married twice, first wife died).

So far it has been a good book, even if you do not completely agree with him, it give you something to think about!

I believe that God does have a hand in bringing us to the ones he has for us. The main thing is, I think we all need to strive to stay in the will of God so that God can bring it about in his way. An example might be: if you know God wants you to attend a certain Bible study course, or work in a certain volunteer position, it could be that he intends for you to meet the one he has for you in that ministry...our primary goal shouldn't be to follow the will of God just so he can bring us a mate, but because we desire to be obedient to God. It could just be a fringe benefit that we run into the person that God has for us.

That means that maybe God will bring the person to us, but we shoudln't just sit on our rear ends hoping he drops them out of the sky...we need to follow God's lead and stay in his will so He can bring it about.

This was my last theory.. I called it the "Mary Poppins Theory". I don't believe we should make it a primary goal to find someone. Our goal and focus should be serving God, and if his will is for us to have someone, then he will provide!
