Don't tell me we're starving and in need of bread, then triple the price of bread in the stores, then continue to tell me we're hungry and in need of bread.
We're not starving, we just need a more varied intake according to our dietary needs.

I know you're not starving ... just don't tell me I'm starving and in need of bread, then triple the price of bread in the stores.

If I'm not buying the bread at regular prices, I'm sure not going to buy it at three times the price.

The problem isn't that you're starving -- nobody cares about your eating habits.

It's when you try to sell the rest of us dirt and call it "bread" that the rest of us point and laugh at you and your "great commission."

That's the problem with science though. They have all these claims, with all this evidence, but they don't have the matter settled.

You think science claims to have all the evidence? Science does a much better job of explaining the world than religion ever does.

Instead what they do is rush their claims and their evidence to the public -- us commoners -- via magazines and other media, oftentimes with the article being titled that is misleading.

Then your problem is with journalists, not scientists.

This serves only to confuse us, in my opinion; and builds distrust.

Again, blame the journos who get it wrong.

My advice is: settle the matter first, then tell us.

I'll say the same thing to the religious. There are how many different sects of Christianity? Obviously they can't settle on which is the right one, and yet they all claim that they have the answers, and they all want to get as many followers as possible. To them I say what you just said: Settle the matter first! Determine which religion is true, and then preach it! But don't start telling us you have all the answers while there are still people who disagree with you!

One radio evangelist once pointed out that, at one time, people thought science was going to cure the earth's problems, so they abandoned their Bibles and placed their faith in science to help them with their particular problem.

And what did science provide? Open heart surgery. Antibiotics. Chemotherapy. Organ transplants. Blood transfusions.

What did religion provide? Prayer. And how often is that successful in treating the sick? How many little kids have died when their parents chose to ignore the pleas of doctors and instead resort to prayer, when a simple medical procedure could have saved the child's life? Did prayer work for this child? Or this child? This child? Or this child?

When science didn't deliver, they got disillusioned and tired of waiting on empty promises, and abandoned science; but didn't go back to their Bibles.

Sience didn't deliver? Looks to me like religion is the one not delivering.

Today, their children and grandchildren are on the Internet, laughing at us "old timers" who never left our Bibles in the first place.

We laugh at you because you claim outright that reality can take a hike just so you can believe your old book.

The trouble is that you are starving, but you insist on eating sawdust. And you refuse to listen to all the claims and evidence that show fruit and vegies are better for you.

Job 23:12b I have esteemed the words of his mouth more than my necessary food.

And speaking of the nutritional value of sawdust, here's a good one for your ever-changing paradigms:

Isaiah 65:25 The wolf and the lamb shall feed together, and the lion shall eat straw like the bullock:

Let's see your scientists explain that, without scratching their heads.

Who cares? Let him eat sawdust. As long as he stops trying to sell it to the people out there who are really starving.

You are confusing STRAW with SAWDUST.

Of course, if I was to show you evidence that they were different, you'd just tell it to take a hike, wouldn'tcha?

It's so bizarre... You think uncorroborated myths completely perplex scientists. It's like you are incapable of understanding that not everyone thinks the Bible is true. Weird...
