I'm so sorry for your loss.
My Grandma passed away after battling congestive heart failure and liver failure all at once. She suffered for 5 weeks with misdiagnosis (they thought she had diabetes, but turns out she never did!) and by the time they figured out what was wrong it was too late.
She was sent home to die with hospice care checking in every so often, but then the pain became too much and it was decided that she be moved to the local Catholic hospital where for a week she thrived, but then sadly she passed away peacefully on June 25th, 2006.
I know the pain from losing your mother is still great, but know she's in a better place.
