Father, I am an old guy, not familiar with this kind of music, but very leery of it and it's relationship to the evil secular version of it. If ChristIsSovereign should be feeling uneasy, let them know that this is a sign/prodding from You. May people not be dupped by deceptive music that is dressed up with religiosity or supposedly "Christian" lyrics. 1 Thessalonians 5:21-22. Amen.

Being addicted to a certain kind of behavior, I would assume, would make it a sin regardless if it's naturally a sin or not.

It this particular case I would tend to agree with you. There is another form of addiction that the KJV speaks of in 1 Corinthians 16:15 which is a good type of addiction.
Regarding music, I was an Elvis fan. I pick and choose what I like about his music now. I also wrote half of the material performed in a Christian band of 4 that I played and sang with nearly 40 years ago. I have a son-in-law that likes the same kind of music you do. We are not agreed on that, and have never been close. I don't try to give any more counsel to him on music since before he married my daughter 9 years ago. Just the imaging these groups use on their albums is very disturbing to me. Addictions have to be fought like a warfare, and remember John 15:5; Philippians 4:13; Philippians 1:21; and Colossians 1:10.

Copying the world with Christian veneer is the world in Christian veneer.
