If Jesus was a sinner then he would not be my messiah. He overcame every sinful temptation:

He did not commit adultery.
He did not commit fornication.
He did not have gay sex.
He did not drink or do drugs.
He didn't lie, steal, murder, say anything profane.

Just sinlessly perfect -- that's the Jesus I believe in.

Amen and amen

:amen: Amen, Brother!

There will always be people who lie about the Savior.
That's because they're servants of the Devil.

I don't believe anyone was trying to argue that He did...were they? Except, of course, He did drink.

On a sidenote, I find it interesting that your first three 'sins' are all sexual ones.

We don't know the alchohol content of what he drank. You never hear of grape juice in the bible.

Here's the thing: in a lot of ancient cultures, alcoholic beverages were safer to drink than water, because the alcohol kills water-borne bacteria. People didn't understand about bacteria then, but they understood that water sometimes made them sick, but alcoholic drinks didn't.

Good argument! We actually agree on something.

I've encountered many apostates who claim Jesus was a sinner.

Homosexuality is a common accusation...

I personally met a sodomite "minister" who claimed Jesus was homosexual.

Many people do not contest that the Jesus of the bible is a very good man....if you take the bible to be true.

Many would argue that the lack of contemporary evidence for Jesus Christ, is enough to say that he was non existant. That is to say that if there was a man walking on water or raising the dead...many other writers and peoples would have venerated him and many storiesa cross the ancient lands would have him in there myths.

Also Anger is a sin,

"You have heard that it was said to the men of old, 'You shall not kill; and whoever kills shall be liable to judgment.' But I say to you that every one who is angry with his brother shall be liable to judgment; whoever insults his brother shall be liable to the council, and whoever says, 'You fool!' shall be liable to the hell of fire." (Mt 5:21-22 RSV)

This I believe is from the sermon on the mount, one of Jesus most powerful sermons and one that signifies all the teachings he tries to get across to the people.....perhaps you should then read about when he chased the sellers from the Temple

When Jesus cleared the temple of the moneychangers and animal-sellers, He showed great emotion and anger (Matthew 21:12-13; Mark 11:15-18; John 2:13-22). Jesus’ emotion was described as "zeal" for God’s house (John 2:17).

. He also got angry and killed a Fig Tree.

Like many things in the bible it is up for debate and many answers will be found amongst the christians alone that would flame up into large debates.

I feel the more important proof is of existance, not of being the perfect person. A perfect person would have followed Gods laws without question, Jesus asked God to spare him...so was he really that perfect, was he really trusting and even if for a brief moment he put his desires before Gods.

I've never really understood the use of the word "sodomy" with regard to homosexuality. Is there Biblical support for the idea that homosexuality was the only, or even the main, sin for which Sodom was supposedly destroyed?

I'm not sure anyone can say for certain what Jesus did or did not do since there isn't any record of everything. It's particularly odd to claim he never used profanity...how in the HECK would anyone know that? It sounds more like you projecting your ideas of perfection onto Jesus. Like it or not there are just some things about Jesus that even the most devout Christian is never going to know.

I suppose it grew out of that impression however mistaken it may be.

The only claim I can rember ever for Jesus sinning was for him working on the Sabbath or some such thing. Though I never bothered much with it when I was a Christian because I did not hold the Ten Commandments as laws that were still to be kept.

Yes, he did.

Luke 7:33-35. 33For John the Baptist came neither eating bread nor drinking wine, and you say, 'He has a demon.' 34The Son of Man came eating and drinking, and you say, 'Here is a glutton and a drunkard, a friend of tax collectors and "sinners." ' 35But wisdom is proved right by all her children."

The pharisees said he was sinning when he healed on the Sabbath.

Your right on this one!

The pharisees said he was sinning when he healed on the Sabbath.

The pharisee's were wrong.

We do know from scripture that He was without sin.
