My Make a Story 3

"Not if I can help it" Kyuui muttered under her breath. She pulled out the dagger she had hidden in her boot for self-defense. She charged the ninja. The ninja, about to finish off Shinji, dodged and grabbed Kyuui's hair from behind. He held a shurikin to her throat. She let out a scream that would send chills down anyone's spine.
"Don't move, little missy" the ninja said in her ear. Kyuui's breath was quick and shallow. Her heart beat hard and fast against her chest. There was no getting around it: she was terrified.

 

[Mankin]

Shinji growled like an angry bear.

"Let her go assassin. It's me you want!" Shinji wripped the cloth from his face. Beneath it lay a tatto that covered his entire face. It was drawn to mirror the face of a monster. Teeth jutted out from his chin. Monsterous eyes were drawn on his forehead. "I can only hold him back for long, so let's make this quick." The assassin tossed Kyuui to the ground.

"All right, let's do this you monster!" Shinji roared in fury as he launched himself at the ninja. His claymore moved at unbelievable speed as he viciously attacked the ninja. He grinned as his blade sliced through the ninja's shoulder. The ninja backed away, Sen still holding on tightly to his heel. He swore under his breath.

"Now you're the one whose blood will be shed!" Shinji declared, his voice swiftly deapening into a horrid tone.

Kyuui blushed and backed away, out of the ninja's reach. She wanted to do something useful, but found that she had run out of resources. It was so frustrating feeling so helpless and useless. Somewhere, in the back of her mind, a small voice said I want to get stronger!

 

[Mankin]

Shinji took a deap breath and plunged his claymore into the ninja's chest. The ninja gasped in shock. His lifeless body slumped to the ground. Shinji dashed over to the ground and picked up his bandages. He rapidely wrapped them over his face. He picked up Sen under his right arm and then strolled over to Kyuui. He offered his hand to her.

"Thank you Kyuui. You really saved me back there." His voice started to crack in emotion, "But please, don't put yourself in danger for my account. I'm not worth it. If anyone should be the one getting wounded, it's me. I deserve every gash and bruise."

Kyuui grudgingly took his proffered hand and stood. "It wasn't solely for your sake, you know. I don't want to watch friends being killed right in front of my eyes. And if you really want a bruising so badly, I'd be more than happy to oblige you. I'm told I got a heck of a right hook." She smiled wryly. Then she frowned. "And if you do anything so reckless again, heaven help me, if I don't kill you myself!"

 

[Mankin]

Shinji chuckled. "I'd say what you did was a little more reckless than me. Charging at a ninja with only a dagger." He set down Sen and brushed off her fur. "With that matter settled, I'm going to take a bath by the river. I'm tired of being covered with blood. I'll return shortly." Shinji declared as he walked towards the river.

He took in a deap breath as he allowed the hot water to wash over his tattoed face.

"You did well enough for yourself Shinji," a voice inside of his head declared.

"Shut up demon, or I'll put this blade through my arm. What hurts you hurts me."

"A demon? Is that what you think I am? I kept you alive you maggot!"

 

[meowmix]

Sen still dazed, Sits on the grass and watches a bug.
Thinking about what had happend.
"Hmmm.." She pursed out her lips, With her tounge out a bit. "I wonder what those were, on his face.." She Scratched her ear and Yelped. "Ow! My leg! It hurts!"
She rapidly starts licking it.

"That abominable man! The ninja was just about to finish him off... What else was I suppose to do?! I detest a man so prideful!" Kyuui continued to mumble and rant to herself. She paced in front of Sen, still showing a nearly murderous aura. Finally, when she had cooled down enough to have a sensible outlook on things, she walked over to where her dagger had dropped and replaced it in her boot.

 

[Mankin]

Shinji yawned as he walked his way back to the fields where Kyuui was. He grinned when he saw her standing there fuming.

"Still angry at me I see? Haven't see someone fume that much since that volcano erupted a few years back."

He stooped down to look at Sen's leg. "It's bleeding a little bit. Here let me stop the bleeding." He tore off a small piece of his bandages and held firm pressure on Sen's leg until the bleeding stopped. "You're a brave little one. I'm sure you'll grow up to be a fine wolf." He patted Sen on the head.

 

[meowmix]

"hmmph" Sen Put her head in the air "That didnt hurt at all... But thanks.." She smiled.
"Im gonna go home. Bye!" She said while walking toward her den.
Wagging her tail as she went.

"And exactly why do you think I'm still angry at you? I'll give you a hint: it certainly isn't because of your secrecy!" Kyuui really didn't think remaining in Shinji's presence would soothe her any. She didn't want to storm off, at the risk of seeming childish. At least not without a good reason. Then, thanks to Sen, she suddenly had a perfectly good excuse to leave him.
"Well, I'll join you, Sen. I better check on how Big Momma's coming along with the birth."

 

[meowmix]

Sen turned her head around toward Kyuui.
"you sure?" Sen asked. "Well bye Shinja.. I hope to see you agian! Maybe!"
She Smiled, then turned around, and started heading home agian once Kyuui caught up.

 

[Mankin]

Shinji waved briefly to Kyuui. He was actually quite surprised with her reaction. Most people just seemed to either be afraid of him or show pity to him, two different reactions that he despised.

He sighed and started to walk to the south in the direction of the town. "Watch someone try to kill me on my way there. I wouldn't be surprised with two warriors coming at me today." He put his hand on his forehead and groaned. "Letting you out was a real pain in the butt. Now I've got a headache."

When Kyuui returned, Big Momma was on her sixth, and most likely the last, pup. "The other adults are still not back from hunting." One of her colleagues told her.
"Hmm. They must be having difficulty finding prey. Else they're just being picky and trying to down the best for our mother." Kyuui said with some dry humor. They watched Momma lick up the new born and eat the after-birth. Watching a birth was not for anyone with a weak stomach.
It would be dark soon, and Kyuui had to get home. Before that she had some groceries she had to buy. "Listen, I hate to leave, but I need to go shopping before I go home. Will it be alright if I leave the rest to you?"

 

[meowmix]

Sen was Snoring away in her den.. And woke up too sun in her eyes.
"uggh" she groaned, while stretching her legs. "I'd better get up."
She got up and walked outside to do her Chores.. "I should go hunting.. " She said to herself.. while walking toward the forest to find a rabbit or something small.

 

[Mankin]

Shinji prowled around the various stands in the town's tiny market place. He mumbled at its complete lack of variety. He picked up an apple and turned it over in his hand.

"It's already overripe. Ugh." He put it back down in disgust. When it came to things like food, he was picky.

Kyuui was shopping the next stand down, and happened to over hear him. Oh, my gosh! What is he doing here? I thought he'd've skipped town already, gone far away! "That apple isn't the only one there, you know." She said, observing her fruit.

 

[Mankin]

Shinji jumped up, sending the apple flying backwards. He turned to look at Kyuui.

"What are you doing here? I thought you lived with...oh." An embarrassed grin stretched over his face.
"Hey, bandage man! You planning to pay for that apple!" Shinji mumbled an apology as he picked up the apple and put it back in the basket.
"So you live here eh? Funny, I was planning to rent a motel here." His eyes narrowed deviously as if he was already planning of a way to get free room and board.

 

[meowmix]

... Sen was stalking a rabbit with her tail high in the air, Her eyes focused, she pushed on her hind legs and Ran full speed toward it. The rabbit saw her and started to run, But Sen cought it before it could get to far, Snapping its neck in her teeth.
She started eating it when she heard a twig snap behind her, so she quickly turned around to find two men grab her and put her in a sack.
The two men chuckled. "How 'bout that? Eh? Now we will be sure to get that Dirty Man. I saw him with this Beast yesterday."
And started walking off.

Kyuui, at the sight of Shinji's reaction, started having a laughing fit. When she was finally able to breath, she said "Yes, I do. I was just doing some grocery shopping before I went home for the day." She thought this oddly pleasant conversation, considering how much he irked her. "I'll give you only one piece of advice, though, regarding the motels around here: If they looked like what they smell like, don't rent a room there. They would only swindle you, paying high for low quality rooms. Get a nice motel, k?"
