My Make a Story 3

"Yes, I do. Along with a few others. Right now the alpha female is giving birth. Actually, I'm surprised the rest aren't out here watching the entrance. My name is Kyuui, by the way. I know where there's a river close by." Looking at the cub she added "We'll get you cleaned up better there. I'm sorry, but nothing works better than a bath in these circumstances."

Kyuui proceeded forward, towards the direction of the river, and looking back, said "I hope you don't have a habit of killing strangers in front of homes, Shinja, because, otherwise, we might have a problem."

 

[Mankin]

Shinji laughed, "Don't worry, I only kill when it is absolutely necessary. I'll give this fellow a burial while you clean up the wolf." After Shinji was finished with his duty he walked off to meet Kyuui down by the river.

"So, how is it that these wolves are able to speak? I have not heard of many wolves who are capable of such things."

Looking up from the pup, Kyuui said "Apparently you don't give wolves enough credit. They're smarter than you think. But it's my personal opinion that its because this pack is around humans so much."
Now finished washing, Kyuui gave Sen a little dismissal slap on her rear end. "Let's talk shall we? I want to hear your story. Like, why that guy was chasing you..."
She indicated a grassy spot within sight of the cave. Kyuui wanted to be on call if anything happened to Big Mamma.

 

[meowmix]

Sen's ears went down while she walked to the grassy spot.
She snorted "The whole story?" And sighed. "Fine.."
Sen Told the story about how she was walking away from the cave and then spotted the man.. etc.. etc..((I dont feel like typing the whole story..))
"And then you showed up!" Sen licks her paw.. Yawns.. and Drifts to sleep.. Snoring..

 

[Mankin]

"From the look of you, I'd say you were acting as a midwife for a wolf in labor," Shinji commented. "Don't let me keep you. Besides I was about to move along. I tend to attract unwanted attention wherever I go." He said this with a hint of despair in his voice as if solitude had dominated him for quite some time.

 

[meowmix]

Sen was dreaming... But then peeped her eye open when shinja Started talking..
"What! Your leaving?" Said Cryed while Jumping to her feet. "But.. But.. I want you to stay!" Sen put her ears down.

 

[Mankin]

Shinji grinned and knelt down to pat Sen's head. "Well I guess I can stay for a bit longer. So Sen, how long has Kyuui been with you?"

"Actually, normally wolf mothers don't need assistance with the birth. Rather than a midwife, I usually just oversee it to make sure nothing goes wrong. Besides, wolves are usually protective of the mother while she's birthing. About half the pack is with her right now, and they know I'm close by if I'm needed. Don't worry..." Kyuui explained.

 

[meowmix]

"Well.. I dont know.. I think Since I was born!" Sen Thought while speaking outloud. "But My mother Died.. And I have no idea who My father is.."
Sen sat down to think. "hmmm...."
"But All the other wolves here have Taken care of me!" Sen Jumped up. "Expecially Kyuui! She's like A big sister to me!" Sen Smiled.

 

[Mankin]

"I see, well that makes sense considering the nature of wolves," Shinji commented. "What inspired you to care for these wolves Kyuui?" Shinji inquired.

 

[searchingsoul]

"Well, when I was younger, I always felt that wolves were always being misunderstood and portrayed as bad in stories. Besides that, they're beautiful creatures that are really a lot like us. But, I think you're avoiding my question about why that guy was chasing you." Kyuui said.

Shinji suddenly began to groan and grasp at his face. He knelt to the ground and covered his eyes and mouth with the bandages. He took quick uneven breaths like he was stuggling to reach the finish line of a massive marathon. He slowly rised to his feet.

"It's not something I like to speak of in such an environment. I will tell you this, the man wished vengence on me for an event in the past, a past that plagues me every waking hour." He pointed to his bandages.
"There are no scars beneath these bandages but there is something far worse. I will say no more. It is better not to speak of him."

Kyuui raised an eyebrow, skeptical in her own right. She guessed that under the bandages, he was half transformed into some ugly monster. She asked no more about his past, but still curious about him, asked "So, what brought you here? And how did you get so skilled with fighting, Shinji?"

While waiting for his answer, Kyuui invited Sen over to be stroked.

Sen Walked over and sat down next to Kyuui, Her tounge hung out.
She Perced her ears up too listen to Shinja And Kyuui talk.

 

[Mankin]

Shinji coughed to clear his throat. "Well I was passing through here on my way to a town a few miles south of here. I'm a wanderer, a ruronin one might say, never staying in one place for long." He smiled slightly.
"As to your second question, I enlisted as a foot soldier in my homeland of Germany. In truth I am not German, but half Dane and half Japanese. A famous warrior named Hansen took me under his wing and taught me everything I know about staying alive in combat."

"Oh! Can you show me some of your moves then?" Sen Said while Acting touch.

"That's cool. Why or how did you become a wanderer?" Kyuui, was bursting with questions, as with anything new to her. Though, she tried to contain them and stick to the most important ones.

 

[Mankin]

"Well I became it a few years back just to get away from it all."

Suddenly Shinji heard soft footsteps coming from behind! He drew his claymore rapidely. A ninja struck at his blade with two blades of his own. Shinji could barely keep his balance as the ninja continually assaulted him. It seemed like his blades were dancing about him like a fire. He stabbed at Shinji's face. Shinji moved his head to the side, but the blade still thinly sliced through his cheek, cutting through his bandages. Shinji swore under his breath as blood flowed over the wicked tattos on his cheek.

"Now it's time for you to fall down and bleed to death!" the ninja declared.

Sen gasped in horror. Wondering what she would do.. Run away? Hide? Or..
In a rush without time to think, Sen Ran Toward the ninja's Leg with agility she didnt know she had.. She Bit his left ankle and held on with all her strength. She could feel the Mans blood soaking into her teeth..
