How did humans accomplish this?
Like you guys do to Ken Ham, Kent Hovind, ICR, DI, and any and all others?
Thanks for the QED.Kent Hovind ("Dr Dino") is a fraud and tax cheat. His "doctorate" is from a diploma mill. That does not earn him any respect. But most importantly the "science" he espouses is usually just wrong.
ICR and DI? "Scientific" organizations that start off with the goal to prove a foregone conclusion. And again often their science is either poorly done our outright wrong.
Thanks for the QED.
No argument there. You see if his position is predicated on a Christ-centric world view then he cannot decide to act as a servant for evil whenever it suits his pocket book.
Wasn't exactly a misunderstanding but wanting a claification. As the original statement I quoted left subject modifiers up in the air.I think you're misunderstanding. Humans haven't changed the tilt, but what they have done is create stronger warming forces than the cooling forces created by the tilt.
I understand that apparently you think we can't have experts outside of science.Yes.It's "Godwin," and if the shoe fits, let science wear it.
It's sad that someone can't claim to be an expert on something without someone else coming along and saying, "Show me your papers."
I meant tilt. However another poster explained you were not accusing humanity of changing the Earth's tilt.By pumping vast amounts of greenhouse gases and significantly altering land-use patterns.
The relative climate forcings due to greenhouse gases are right now sufficient to overwhelm the change in temperatures due to the orbital obliquity from the Milankovich cycle precession.
We know where the greenhouse gases are coming from due to the isotopic composition of the excess CO2 in the atmosphere (it indicates a source like fossil and vegetal fuels being burned, hence human activity).
So we know we've possibly been able to forestall the next ice age.

I assumed you meant human contributions to warming. But the statement I quoted from you could have handled the subject modifier a bit better.
No argument there.
1 Thessalonians 5:22 Abstain from all appearance of evil.
I remember a time when it was considered anathema if school teachers smoked in public.
Your assertion against at least the Discovery Institute is not accurate:Kent Hovind ("Dr Dino") is a fraud and tax cheat. His "doctorate" is from a diploma mill. That does not earn him any respect. But most importantly the "science" he espouses is usually just wrong.

That's the beauty of data and science: indeed you don't need to have specific bona fides to assess it, but you can't ignore it when it goes against your preconceptions. The data (and the rocks etc) don't lie.
Ken Ham? Well, yeah there's a special place of ignomy for him in my estimation. Seems like he has made some use of tricky money shuffling to avoid new taxes on his ARk Encounter theme park. It is always an inspiration that the truly pious need only get down on their knees to pray to their true god (mammon) and their prayers are always answered. (Could a $10 sale mean no more taxes for Noah’s Ark theme park?)
It wasn't a confusion. I was just offering a better way for you to communicate your point without some crazy responses.OK, I see your confusion. Correct, I am only talking about forcing functions. Not that humans have actually changed the tilt of the earth.
It does.Hope that makes sense.
If he comes out and is seen by congregants who didn't know his purpose? You run into the same problem IMO.It does.
Just off the record, what about a minister who goes into a bar to spread the Gospel?
Depending on how many trees there are on the prison grounds...looks like a career change to me.But I wouldn't say that a person who makes his or her living as a lumberjack but who also robbed banks was probably not to be trusted to be cutting down trees correctly
How would that affect his/her expertise?Earlier, you used the word "can't", instead of "don't" (or vice versa) in one of your posts, and it impressed me for some reason
It does.

Your assertion against at least the Discovery Institute is not accurate:

Your claim did indicate some low brow personalities,I clicked the link. I didn't see any specific indication of the science. So far I'm unaware any really solid science coming out of the DI.
I don't make claims about the science based on the people's names or even their degrees, unless their lack of degree explains how their science fails.
