Recently someone posted a two-hour video of an atheist debating Kent Hovind.

The atheist started his rant describing the [human] authors of the Bible as 'ignorant.'

I disagree.

If you make a ratio of knowledge acquired to knowledge available, it's hard to call them "ignorant."

What the atheist was doing, was comparing knowledge acquired back then, with knowledge on hand now.

And that's not a fair comparison.

Let's see a scientist ... any scientist ... make a boomerang without the use of computers.

it's quite easy to make a boomerang without using computers. The Australian Aboriginal people did it lots, and I'm pretty sure that they didn't have computers to aid in their design.

They were far from ignorant, weren't they?

There is only one way they were able to craft a boomerang: divine revelation.

Or maybe God opened their eyes a little.

Deuteronomy 29:29 The secret things belong unto the LORD our God: but those things which are revealed belong unto us and to our children for ever, that we may do all the words of this law.

Daniel 2:22 He revealeth the deep and secret things: he knoweth what is in the darkness, and the light dwelleth with him.

Proverbs 25:2 It is the glory of God to conceal a thing: but the honour of kings is to search out a matter.

Aero...... nevermind.
-So the aborigines could have developed a simple glider? Why not an airplane? Perhaps you are conflating a design from trial and error with an actual understanding of a concept.

The bible is the word of God because it couldn't have come about any other way. Man doesn't write such stuff.

Possibly -- as a toy; like a Frisbee.

That level of sophistication was opened to the Wright brothers.

I'm sure they employed as much trial and error as necessary.

You do not seem to understand. Trial and error explains their making of the boomerang than a false claim of understanding aerodynamics. Their inability to go beyond the boomerang tells us that the former is the likely answer.
