Lamberth is a panentheist. So it's clear, it seems some folks think you are saying that God Himself is winding down. That the entity known as God is subject to entropy.
Correct. We say that God is "transcendent," meaning that He is outside of His creation.I should think any rational theology would allow for God to supersede any and all mere physical processes. Thus God would in no way be affected by entropy or anything like that.
In my attempt to bring clarity I have revealed that the only confusion is my own.Lamberth is a panentheist.
You're a gentleman. In my attempt to bring clarity I have revealed that the only confusion is my own.
God works in mysterious ways. This is incoherent. Either he’s in, or he’s out.
You're forgetting His triune nature too, aren't you?HitchSlap said:But he can’t be both.
Looks to me, the only thing that is evolving with evolution is the concept, idea, theory of it.
I'm thinking more along the lines of Genesis 1:3.Just put an ice cube on your kitchen table and watch entropy in action.(/quote)
I don't think that God is an ice cube.
(quote) Well I don't know what the "Light of God" is in panentheism, but if you meant the electromagnetic spectrum, then yes.
That's when He created the electromagnetic spectrum.I'm thinking more along the lines of Genesis 1:3.
That's when He created the electromagnetic spectrum.
That's when the Light of God was created. That's when He created the electromagnetic spectrum.
If you're talking about Jesus Christ, He was not created. That's when the Light of God was created.
Jesus the person was born 2000 years ago. That has to do with the manger and all that stuff that we celebrate around every winter Solstice. The Light of God is the stuff that indwelled in the person we call Jesus. That happened at the moment that the Holy Spirit entered the sacred Womb of Marry. At which point we can than say that Christ is the Light of God. Before that though, I'd say that the first body of the Light of God is Creation itSelf. If you're talking about Jesus Christ, He was not created.
Mary was a sinner saved by grace. Just like any other born-again Christian. She didn't have any sacred body parts. That happened at the moment that the Holy Spirit entered the sacred Womb of Mary.
That is, as I hear AV's arguments, is what he is saying when he say's God has quit creating. I take a different trajectory in that the very nature of God is to create. And that it's impossible for God not to create. And that's done through evolution, of which science has opened a wonderful, and I'd even say a sacred window into that process. So it's clear, it seems some folks think you are saying that God Himself is winding down. That the entity known as God is subject to entropy.
I think that in order to have the Holy Spirit choose a place for the birth of Christ, that a very special womb would be in order. The fact that the Womb of Mary was chosen to birth the Son of God, maybe not for you, but for myself makes her a very sacred person in the eyes of God.Mary was a sinner saved by grace. Just like any other born-again Christian. She didn't have any sacred body parts.
Luke 1:42 And she spake out with a loud voice, and said, Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb.
She was blessed AMONG WOMEN, not ABOVE WOMEN.
