well many of today youth are breaking this word

It means not to be tied to them... if you are a boyfriend or girlfriend.. you are now tied to them... meaning there is exclusivity between you. If you are just friends, there is no exclusivity.

You do realize that you can share the gospel and love someone without dating them don't you? You can be their friend and share the gospel till the cows come home... just don't be yoked with them! (that means don't be exclusive with them as in DATING)

If not for my wife dating me I probably would not be a Christian today and may have never confessed Jesus as my Lord and savior. She showed me what the love of Jesus is like and without her I know for sure I would still be going to hell.

I'm glad that she yoked herself with an unbeliever.

By the way, you do not know for sure that you would still be going to hell... there is NO WAY for you to know that... if God did not use your wife and God wanted you His, He would have used another way.

Yes he believes now despite not following Jesus direction... the grace of God is endless but not to be abused.

To say God would have gone another way is to say that you can see the future and know what God will do.

The word of God says that we are chosen before the foundations of the world.... If God has chosen you as a gift to His Son, He will make sure that that is what happens. I have no idea what God is going to do... that is exactly my point about the other poster saying he knew "for sure" he would still be going to hell... there is no way to know that.

My point was, if God wants you, he will get you despite what we silly humans do.

Let me clarify, if not for a Christian woman who wanted to be with me in a romantic way I would have not come to Christ. It truly was the only way. If losing my 5 kids when their mom decided to be with another man instead of her boyfriend wasn't enough to put me on my knees, then there was nothing else that would have done so, but the love of a woman that wanted to be with me. God knew this as well and that is why I am one of His today.

Now that I am a follower of Jesus, I respect Him and His word and thank Him for showing much grace on me and keeping me from jail or worse death.

When Jesus says to obey the laws of my government, I do now because I love Him, respect what he says and want to live a holy life.

If He is so irresistible, then why is not everyone saved before they die? It's because we have free will and you can say it's an illusion, but I know better than that. God does not force himself on anyone. That is what gives us our free will. We have the choice to obey, follow Him or not on both accounts.

Again, Jesus did not say it. Paul did. It's in 2 Corinthians 6:14.

I'm not looking down on it, that is your words. However, what I am saying is that sometimes people are disobedient, but how do we know that it isn't by design for them to do so?
