My friend is gay - help!

He's gay and he's been homo. We met in the StarTrek.com chatroom four years ago, and he decided to befriend me due to my discussions on time travel. The friendship grew from there. Afterwards, I found out he was gay for me at one point. His Instant Messenger manners are atrocious. You'll be in the middle of a conversation, then he'll say he's going out with friends and put up his away message. After he does it several times, when you try to confront him, he says it's becuase his college internet isn't reliable... I don't know whut that has to do with manners... Anyway, my heart tells me to befriend him, but my heart also tells me that I'm just entertainment to him and that I should cut off ties with him to better spend my time elsewhere with others.

Never Cut off ties with Him. I would continue Talking to him and if it is entertainment to him I would allow it. If I were you I would befriend him becuase he needs a true hard believeing Christian in his life. It is a matter of time before you can actually get to him and knock the new concept into his head. Another thing I would keep praying to God you will really need it

I think the friendship is over. We had another fight last night over "super heros" of all things. He was convinced that Batman is not a super hero, becuase he has no "super powers." I told him a super hero is not defined by super powers, and the argument ensued. He could have simply disagreed, presented an argument why, and proceeded with a friendly discussion. Instead, he got militant by telling me I was wrong and didn't understandm, that he was right. He even got a dictionary deffinition out, but... he doesn't even listen to me when I tell him his deffinition is incomplete. Of coarse, he's stupid and not capable of thinking for himself. He assumes the book is right and that his intelligent friend is wrong. I finally got tired of him, told him he won, asked if he was happy, then signed off. Next, I get an e-mail this morning qouting part of the conversation, telling me that I treat him like an intellectual dumbie (that's becuase he is), so he's going to block me on AIM. Wow, real mature. Further, he says he's mad at me, becuase I say he's wrong all the time. THAT'S BECAUSE HS IES!!!! I'm just really tired of his childish shanannigans. I don't care if he's gay, I'm sick of his stupidity waisting my time that could be better spent constructively.
