  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

The First Crusade was hailed as a great triumph of Christianity over the muslim infidels. You live during the times of The First Crusade. Question: How could you be against the First Crusade given that it was supported by Christians all over the world and in particular by the only Christian Church in existance at the time?

"How much is this gonna cost?"

"We're going to occupy what?"

"What's this 'hearts and minds' thing?"

"Is there an exit strategy?"

By listening to my fundamental independent pastor, and not being a part of something that Jesus, Himself said He would take care of when He returns.

There was no "fundamental independent pastor." There was only one church for all Christians, unless you lived in eastern lands under Greek Orthodoxy. And those were the lands that asked for the Crusade in the first place.

Uh-huh -- keep telling yourself that.

Remember: according to some, there are ... ahem ... 38,000 different sects.

you don't actually know what the First Crusade was, do you?
I read all about the Crusades and Prester John and Richard the Lionhearted, etc. and so forth.

You might want to familiarize yourself with a little writing called The Trail of Blood, by J.M. Carroll:

I tell myself that because its true. If you know different, please enlighten us with the names of a few other Christian churches of the time. Then you can explain what the whole hubub was over the so-called "Reformation" that occurred later in history.

Remember: according to some, there are ... ahem ... 38,000 different sects.

Your point being?
