No .. but what they had that simple observation mean, then determined how society treated women onwards from that point. It was sexist for the ancient world to recognize that men were bigger and stronger than women?
OK; it doesn't answer the question, but whatever...God deemed Lucifer's actions corrupt. Without God's judgment those actions would have been 'amoral'.
But isn't 'amoral' also the result of God's judgment?God deemed Lucifer's actions corrupt. Without God's judgment those actions would have been 'amoral'.
Is the substance of God subject to random mutations?Lucifer sounds like he was hit with some kind of random mutation, perhaps?
Everything about this story is inconsistent .. I think that might be how it becomes metaphysical (helped along by miracles)? Is the substance of God subject to random mutations?
I don't know - I was querying an apparent inconsistency and couldn't get a straight answer.

100% consistency means nothing to those who don't believe the Bible. If it were consistent, then it would probably be more acceptable to logically thinking minds (which itself is apparently a property also conferred upon us by God for some odd reason?)
So God created sin by means of his own judgment?
Whilst I get the concept of experiencing spirituality by way of getting seriously into the Bible, (I have had spiritual experiences myself), I also get that such a concept is also first and foremost a mindset and is thus, about as far as it gets in terms of being exclusive of one, (a mindset, that is).100% consistency means nothing to those who don't believe the Bible.
I'm not sure I personally see it as 'sterile' .. Moreso, those human fingerprints all over it, stick out like sore thumbs to me.AV1611VET said:But many are quick to point out inconsistencies in our beliefs as a means of rendering the Bible sterile.
Thanks! are you going to vote?Neat challenge.
Judgments are for defending something going on in a 'backroom' somewhere .. (where what's going on in the backroom is 'monkey-business' .. meaning power-play ... or something like that).Yes.SelfSim said:So God created sin by means of his own judgment?
Merry Christmas! When it comes to conferring my mindset as being an extension of some other entity's .. I need evidence which doesn't also leave the fingerprints of (illogically) humans all over it.
Perhaps you need a course in Amanuensis 101? or better yet: verbal plenary inspiration?SelfSim said:I'm not sure I personally see it as 'sterile' .. Moreso, those human fingerprints all over it, stick out like sore thumbs to me.

Judgement can be a good thing.Judgments are for defending something going on in a 'backroom' somewhere .. (where what's going on in the backroom is 'monkey-business' .. meaning power-play ... or something like that).
Must be a doosey of a choice you have in mind then? There is not a choice that I can select that doesn’t lead itself to be twisted into something I did not mean.
I am whatever I mean by: 'I am'.Judgement can be a good thing.
There are three types of judgments in the Bible:
Which one is your preference?
- justice = getting what you deserve = an eye for an eye
- mercy = not getting what you deserve = Hell
- grace = getting what you don't deserve = Heaven
Exclusionary!Merry Christmas!
I'm open to at least consider such concepts(!?)AV1611VET said:Perhaps you need a course in Amanuensis 101? or better yet: verbal plenary inspiration?
