I got this sheet of paper that is like a birthplan checklist. Well i was reading it and they said i can bathe/shower (i didnt know there was a bath in the labor room!) i dont have to have the fetal monitoring thing on all the time and i dont have to have an IV unless i want pain meds.
Also says they dont routinely do episiotomies...which is great cuz i dont want one.

So im pretty excited!

Every birthing room had a shower at my hospital. Some women find it helpful sitting under running water while having contractions...

That sounds great, I love it that more and more hospitals are going for the less medicalised approach to labour. Have loads of baths, it really helps soothe the pain.
