He was talking about nature; you tried to make it about him. I'm not the one who's confused here.
first I have to say, it's cute to see you follow me around. Thanks!

Second, no, you're the one confused here. The question about Nature. His response to my reply was that Nature isn't moral/immoral, so I posed the question about if an action in and of itself is moral or not since if "nature" enacts it, it's moral, so if humans enact it, it isn't. Please try to follow along. I can't keep summing up for you the thread everytime you follow me to a new one.

Where did "dogs abuse" come in and just what sort of abuse are you referring to?
It's an action most deem immoral, but the dog isn't a moral being

For an intelligent being to abuse an unintelligent being is evil
Good follow up, but misleading. How can you abuse something? Do you abuse the plant by cutting it's branches and pruning it? You're imposing MORALITY on it and by the definition given it's property and slavery is "okay". Do you view it as *SP edit start*cruel *SP edit end*that female mantids kill it's mate after mating? Have you stopped this because it's evil or is it just evil BECAUSE it's done by "things" that don't know better? Yet again saying slavery isn't wrong as I stated before.

Indeed, I followed you so closely I got here pages before you ever did.

So you're asking him to apply human morality to nonhuman actions... oh, goody. for a moment I thought you were doing something pointless.

So slavery is okay as done by "nature"? Or, like a gun, it is the action originator that bears the morality of the action?

How did you get that from my post?

You seem to have a poor grasp on the concept of morality, among other flaws.

silly quips aside, I was actually asking a question based on your response, which you, in fact dodged. We can start on the baseline if you'd like. Is slavery immoral?

My apologies, you're following AV around. Must give credit where it is due. *tips hat to AV*

from the poster who said slavery, via Darwin, is racist and implied it was immoral...funny.

Knowing what we know today, yes, slavery is immoral.

Morality is a concept, wholly unrelated to natural laws.

What exactly about that statement do you need explained to you?

Indeed -- human slavery is immoral.
so the act of slavery isn't immoral then? Or just human to human? If that is so they why do people get so up in arms about dog abuse? Or why does PETA exist?

Obviously you've seen how different people have different opinions.

Surely this can't be a new experience for you, can it?
