Remember the afghan book we were talking about recently? Well, we went to see our friends and they live way out in the sticks and I took my book to show her. She loved it and I sort of forgot to bring it home. When I rang to say we were home safely she told me I had left the book behind so I said don't post it, I will have it when we come back around Easter. Please feel free to make use of it til we see you again. Then I went onto amazon and found another copy and ordered it for me... Of course, I will have to take the new (to me, it is a used one) copy with me to prove to her that I have one of my own

I do like to crochet, but haven't done it for a long time...am on to other things now (beading) but hope to make something again someday. In the mean time, I have been enjoying this thread so much!

Yes, it can be difficult to find time for everything. I don't do much reading these days so I have more time for crocheting.

I think my friend will make something from the book before I do. I have to wait 6-8 weeks for delivery of the new book. Plus, I seem to have hurt my neck and shoulder, so even knitting is uncomfortable at the moment.

I've never done very well with thread. I have made some ornaments which turned out well but haven't been very successful with doilies.

This is a little purse I made. It's finished but I do think that I want to add some type of closure to it.

I crocheted the body of the purse holding two different colors of yarn together which I don't think you can tell by the picture. I used a coordinating varigated yarn for the strap and cuff.

Thanks! I put this in our church craft sale and if I remember correctly a 6 or 7 year old girl fell in love with it and her mom bought it for her.

Here's a picture of a scarf I just finished. This worked up so quickly!

I made it with Patons Feathers yarn. It's actually much prettier than the pic shows. I will be sending this to my sister-in-law in NC. She loves scarves.

I like these but they took quite a while to complete because it's a small yarn.

The ladies of my church gave me this awesome Vera Bradley bag. I love it! I needed something to keep my things organized init though and checked the price of some matching accessories. They were quite expensive so I made some little pouches to match.
