CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Thingy 2.0 is already obsolete (just happened 5 minutes ago).
So now, he needs to first upgrade to JunkOS9, then install thingy 2.7.

Yes, however thingy 2.5 and higher requires graphics card XYZ000, and of course that card would require him to get a power supply strong enough to support it.

Now that you mention it, the "system requirements" listed on the box do specify the need for burnt offerings. The salesman even insisted that it was a "killer app", but I didn't know he meant I'd have to kill something for the app to work.

The burnt offerings either have to be an animal's, or of someone directly related to you. It'll work more efficiently if it's your son.

If that doesn't work, just shout at it until it does.
Also, you should make sure you've got the right thingy. It has to fit in the PCI2 slot perfectly, down to the nearerst millionth of a millimeter. Unfortunately, with the latest models, the size isn't printed on the box, so the only way to accurately measure it is to use the width of your hand and a bit of string.
