my cat is sick

just had to leave my cat at the vets to get bloodwork and xrays done dont know whats wrong with it im freaking out. call me pansy if you want but that cat is like my close homie.

I completely understand. A good animal owner always adopts them as part of their family unit. You have every right to freak. Prayers for you & the recovery of your dear cat.

I have had pets all my life - and they have 'always' been family. I know 'exactly' what you are going through --- and you 'should' allow yourself to cry. It is a needed emotion ~ not only for physical release and cleansing, but it is also good for your emotionally. [please do NOT ever consider it to be a sign of weakness]

her bloodwork was normal, xrays showed her stomach is bunched up they are saying she might have a growth of some sort, they are keeping her until friday when i have to take her to a college near here to have an ultrasound done to get a better idea



im hoping and praying that whatever it is can be fixed and she can get better

I know this must be SO hard for you, and your poor kitty is stressed out too - what with all the test, and the overall environment. I'm continuing to pray for your kitty and for you Ric !!!

ultrasounds showed no tumors or cancer, which they said was good news, but now all i can do is force steroid type pills and stomach pills down its throat and hope it somehow starts to eat. i administer fluids and pretty much force baby food down its throat hoping that soon she will start to eat on her own. so now with all of this the cat pretty much hates me for shoving stuff down its throat.


all i can do right now is pray and keep doing what im doing and hope soon it makes a difference.

Just talk to her as you hold, and tell her you love her and are trying to help her. I know it's hard, and takes an extraordinary amount of patience - I've gone through all of what you're experiencing. Maybe you can find a flavor of baby food she prefers more - maybe the chicken. She also needs plenty of fresh water with the steroids.
