  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

My car broke down in early August and my two young children and I have had to rely on the goodness of others to get around since then. Three different people looked at it and couldn't tell where it was leaking antifreeze from since it was so far back in the engine. Finally, a friend of my dad's said he'd take a look at it. He towed it to his house and got up in the engine to find out it was the heater core. The part was cheap ($35), but the labor in the shop would have run about $600 because they have to take the dashboard out to get to it. Mickey said he'd only charge me between $75-$100 to do it, depending on how long it took him and that he would let me pay him in installments. (I can't work right now, and my children and I live off of child support payments.) Well, Mickey finished the car earlier tonight, and he charged me NOTHING for the labor!!! Praise God and thank God for people like that!!!!
