I think this is a fitting article: Biblical Wine vs. Modern Wine - A Poised PerspectiveBut when somone says that the KJV is word perfect then it leaves no opening for anything else than wine.
As a self-confessed wine snob, I already know the history of wine and also why it was alcoholic in biblical times.I think this is a fitting article: Biblical Wine vs. Modern Wine - A Poised Perspective
And anyone that understand wine at all also understands why the wine in Jesus's wedding miracle was definitely alcoholic as well.As a self-confessed wine snob, I already know the history of wine and also why it was alcoholic in biblical times.

???And, a wet crow never flies at night.
Nope. You'll do the same with the facts I posted in Post 188 too, won't you?
That article is a literal an advertisement for a particular brand of wine. I hope you got some samples, because the writer is certainly getting paid.I think this is a fitting article: Biblical Wine vs. Modern Wine - A Poised Perspective
Non-alcoholic wine is a modern thing. But apparently you don't know the non-alcoholic wine.
Perhaps you weren't taught that in academia.
Cannabis can be either THC or non-THC.
And by non-THC, I mean not enough to be illegal.
Non-alcoholic wine is a modern thing.
Yes, its already refuted. Wine in biblical times was alcoholic.Post 217 please.

And if it really was grape juice, then why doesnt it say so? The bible litteraly says wine, or are this a figurative myth?
Well, its just because you cant answer the questions. And around and around we go.
To fully understand the Wedding at Cana story one needs to have imbibed of wine at least a few times. And not just a glass or two, but enough to get at least slightly snockered. There are verses that make no sense at all if it was non-alcoholic wine, but make perfect sense if they were drinking real wine. And around and around we go.
But you see, AV dont like alcohol and thats why Jesus cant like it either in his faith. To fully understand the Wedding at Cana story one needs to have imbibed of wine at least a few times. I figure that AV and I should spend a night bar hopping. Using Uber of course. So that he can achieve a first hand understanding of John 2 10.But you see, AV dont like alcohol and thats why Jesus cant like it either in his faith.

It's also misleading about really easy things to look up facts. Only fortified wine like sherry or port gets up to 20%.
As an analogy, I guess I'm not strictly lying if I said I make in between 50 and 100k a year, even if I never made more than 80k... it's still technically in between those numbers.
Actually I take that back: "The majority of wine you may find at restaurants, vineyards, or on the shelves of your liquor or grocery stores is on upwards of 20% or more alcohol content." is just a lie.
It's mostly between 12 and 16%.
If your only source for a fact is something trying to sell you a product marketing it on it's distinction to the norm, check their claims.
This is not about wine throughout the bible or present day wine ads (the info there was quoted from a book on the subject though); it's about the wine Jesus made from water. Some people's interpretation is that Jesus wouldn't have made strong alcoholic wine, the strength of wine and what was called wine appears to have varied then, and so, I respect their interpretation. I have no doubt the wine Noah consumed was alcoholic.Yes, its already refuted. Wine in biblical times was alcoholic.

The story in John pretty much tells you that it was alcoholic wine. Do you drink at all? This is not about wine throughout the bible or present day wine ads (the info there was quoted from a book on the subject though); it's about the wine Jesus made from water. I don't like to answer questions like that, but I don't hold it against anyone who does do it in moderation. The story in John pretty much tells you that it was alcoholic wine. Do you drink at all?
I would wonder what you meant by "moderation". The consuming of alcohol in the Cana story would probably have been beyond "moderate".I don't like to answer questions like that, but I don't hold it against anyone who does do it in moderation.
